About the Ruiz Family

In 1997, don Miguel Ruiz published one of the best-selling books on personal development, The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom. In the text, he details ancient Toltec wisdom with four statements designed to facilitate healthy relationships with self and others.

His sons, don Miguel, Jr. and don Jose, collaborated with Miguel Sr. on several other Toltec books, carrying on the tradition of sharing the Toltec wisdom passed down to them by their ancestors. They are also both authors and practice the healing arts.
