October is the best mushroom season of all in Chicagoland where massive hen of the woods, giant puffballs, chicken of the woods, and more grow in abundance throughout area forests and parks. Discover the endless bounty of fall fruits, as well as medicinal and edible late season plants.

Dress for the weather and natural environments and bring a bottle of water. You will be emailed the place to meet at a local forest preserve. If weather is questionable, please call Odd on his cell, 847-409-8623. Due to social distancing, space is limited.
